I have slightly thicker thighs and when I wear shorts that are a bit shorter then tend to rid up in the inside thigh. Does anyone know how to stop shorts from riding up?

I guess it depends on the pattern of the shorts. Not too sure though.

you can always put on tights to avoid overexposure :)

I hate it when that happens. It actually has nothing to do with how tight they are, because I have a pair of loose trouser shorts that ride up. Its about the length. You’ll want a longer length. Everybody who has “chubrub” (lol thats what we call it around here, its nothing to do with fat, just how thick your thighs are. Even the skinniest of people can get chub rub, not everyone can have a gaping hole where their crotch is like Kate Moss) has a spot on their inner thigh where, depending on the length of the short, friction can either pull the short up, or push it downwards and keep it in place. Pingpoingpiang also has a point – tights will help. But not with overexposure. They reduce friction, and against most fabrics are more slippery, so instead of friction positioning your shorts at all, they don’t go anywhere :)

I’m pretty sure they ride up because they are too short…I actually think it looks pretty skanky when people wear short shorts and they ride up like that.

boredstephanie – it does look skanky, but remember that sometimes girls can’t help it…even if they are tugging all the time. Its hard to find shorts that are a decent length, but don’t look like bland ol’ bermudas or something

This happens to me ! What i do is go for the next size up. It is a little un-setteling but it does stop my shorts from riding up :)
