As the saying goes, “Everything is Bigger in Texas.” Well, after our latest foray to the Lonestar State to attend the JCP Nicole by Nicole Miller event, we totally agree. From the number of attendees to all the bloggers who came out to the beauty of Nicole Miller’s latest Nicole by Nicole Miller collection, Texas delivered big. The event was jam packed with fabulous clothes, delicious food, and Nicole Miller herself, who walked through her collection and explained some of the ideas and inspirations behind each piece.
Luckily, even with all her business during the event, Chictopia scored a one-on-one interview with Nicole Miller to get further insight into her line and passion. Her lovely demeanor and great advice lent to a very insightful interview on topics ranging from advice to up-and-coming designers to parenting tips to her Texas roots. She looked amazing in her own collection and exemplified exactly what a true style icon should be about.
Speaking of style icons, the many fashion bloggers who attended the event were on top of their fashion game, styling different pieces from the Nicole by Nicole Miller collection. Style of Sam, Lynsey Eaton of TomboyKC, and Jaffrene all seemed in love with the faux leather leggings offered this season, creating looks that demonstrated each of their unique fashion sense. Style of Sam paired the leggings with a moto jacket for a little edge while Jaffrene donned a faux fur coat to add a little more luxe to her ensemble. Lynsey went for a more casual glam look and mixed it up with a cute top that fused feminine and masculine styles perfectly for fall.
Also in attendance were Brooke Burnett of One Small Blonde who opted to wear an embellished sweater (also with some leather leggings) and Ashley of SideSmile Style who wore a killer printed dress from the collection. All of the bloggers, and everyone in attendance in fact, looked amazing showing off their new Nicole by Nicole Miller items (you can also see Helen sporting a red and black jacquard print dress).
Overall, after seeing the collection and hearing what Nicole had to say about each piece, we were impressed by just how easy to wear everything in the line seems to be. Nicole Miller showcased her great eye for prints and color, making each piece vibrantly stand out.
