styleanthropy 's Thoughts:

Are you ready for Summer 2010? Here in Texas, it’s already hot and sunny with temperatures already in the high 80s to low 90s. So what better way to embrace the weather than with trends for this year’s summer season! I have managed to wear a couple of Summer 2010 trends in one outfit and would like to share it with you below.

1. Short Dresses
When it’s just too hot for a long maxi dress, go short. The short dress has always been here every summer. Keep it fun and bright with colors!

2. Wedge Sandals
Wedges are here to stay. They dress up any casual dress and give you a bit of height to showcase longer and leaner legs.

3. White
The color white gives that light, fresh and bright feeling. Wear a completely white dress or something with white like the tie-dye dress I’m wearing and match it up with white sandals.

4. Bangles
This summer, pile on your bangles in all colors, shapes and materials. It can be too hot to layer a dress. Thus, by accessorizing, you are adding details to a simple dress.

5. Tie-Dye
While tie-dye has been around quite some time, it’s really perfect for the summer. The different splashes of color makes you feel like you’re on vacation everyday, even if that’s not always the case.

6. Crochet
We’re slowly seeing hints of crochet and knits from designers – be it shirts, dresses, sweaters or jackets. So I took this handmade bolero from years ago to layer on top of my dress. It’s short and cropped, and best of all, air passes through. So you won’t have to sweat wearing a regular vest or cropped jacket to complete your look.

7. Sunglasses
I never leave without one. It’s all about outdoor activities this summer – whether you’re going on a road trip or going to the beach. So make sure you have sunglasses with you – to keep you stylish and protected at the same time.

So what are you waiting for? Get your summer on!
