wow, great article! i agree that sometime we shop crazily. buy things that we want at the moment, then keep it in the closet forever. hot item come and go, just like trend. and sometimes it makes me nuts when i just buy a new "trendy"pants on one fine day in Zara and they have a new arrival item (aka new trendy item) on the next day! sigh.

Excellent article, very well written and informed. I'm so glad that chictopia, chooses this topic even though this is a "fashion blog" (we readers do care about where our clothes comes from!). I read some of the other comments below and it would be great to maybe feature more fashion bloggers who re-use items. I loved "beware of my heels" because I noticed that she re-used a lot of her clothes

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it :) I think that as fashion lovers, we have to be aware of how things are made, from where, and what it is we're really buying into. And yes, that's an excellent suggestion! More pieces like this to come!

great article! After having closets full of "fast fashion", I made several trips to the salvos last year and seriously culled it. Now, I don't shop at chains like F21 any more and save for lasting pieces I know I will wear again and again

I didn't even realize it has been a year since I visited a F21. I do have stuff from there from a looong time ago. Now I definitely think about if I'm actually going to wear something more than once.

I definitely need to watch myself on those $3-$5 purchases... I tend to overdo it because I have the mindset of, "I kinda like it. Ooh! It's cheap. Why not?" and I need to think more about whether I can actually really incorporate the piece into my wardrobe. hahaha.

Right? It makes me think even more now that I wonder how these pieces were made.
