I’ve been getting a lot of great comments back about the shoes I got at Nordstrom Rack (thanks guys!) So i thought I’d do a little post on shopping there and scoring some good finds!
I went a few weeks ago after finding out they were going to have a big shipment of designer shoes at 60% off or more! YES.
I woke up super early and drove the 20 minutes it took to get to the nearest Nordstrom Rack.
As expected, there were already a few fashion fiends ready to pounce on any Prada, Dries or Miu Miu’s to hit the shelves. OH IT’S ON!
After quickly grabbing whatever shoes caught my attention, eight pairs to be exact, I found a nice spot in front of a mirror and began narrowing down the selection.
After a very long debate with myself, I finally decided on 3 pairs. Prada, Burberry and Jil Sander! All at 60-80% off! The cost of all three shoes is still less than one p...
Their latest ad campaign is all over town and I gotta say, I like it!
The sleek feel immediately grabs my attention amongst all the crazy Swarovski-covered tanorexic models and super-saturated banners. Sure, CK has been known for their b+w take for decades, but they’ve hit the mark 100% this fall thanks to a revival of their late 80’s logo and photographer Steven Meisel.
To justify, they never left the scene—CK just didn’t suit me, or vice versa, with fits I didn’t understand (from small to medium it grew in width vs in length!), thus there was no second chance to give. The last time I purchased anything from Calvin Klein it was probably 1998 at one of their outlets, and I don’t even remember what it was or where it went (then again, that was 10 yrs ago).
Their ads alone this season have me interested in what might have changed… I’m not even sure I like the clothing featured all that much, but great direction!

Some may view this post as a chance for me to go ‘oooh everyone, look at my new shoes!’... and they may be right.
However my shoe excitement is on such a level that I’d be mean not to share. Especially when this excitement isn’t about aesthetics but COMFORT. I have officially found the most comfortable and easy to walk in pair of heels ever. Not bad for a creeper-stiletto hybrid.
Both in real life and in blog comments people express disbelief that I can skip around quite happily in huge chunky heels without pain or walking trouble. The secret is that it’s incredibly easy, but becoming at one with heels also has its downsides. While you longer gasp in awe at women who stride around in vertiginous stilettos every day, you also have to deal with a newfound feeling of inadequacy on those days when you are prevented for reaching for that footwear boost.
Still, for those who want to, the most important tool in comple...
